Job Title: Program Development Manager
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Duty station: Kathmandu
Major roles and responsibilities
Program Development Manager is responsible for assisting the Chief Executive Officer and field staff to develop and implement BCN programs and plans to protect species, and conserve sites and habitats, by advancing actions for threatened species, Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, and priority habitats and ensuring that BCN and Birdlife work is underpinned by a strong scientific foundation. The Program Development Manager is also responsible to coordinate with government and non government line agencies to support for their engagement in BCN’s conservation actions.
Master’s Degree in Forestry, Zoology, Environment Science, Natural Resource Management or any other relevant subjects. The incumbent should have over 3 years’ experience in I/NGOs/Conservation organizations. Ability to use own creativity, judgment and work independently; excellent interpersonal skills and respect for diversity.
