With an aim to highlight the importance of Marketing in
Conservation organization, BCN organized "Marketing Workshop" for staffs
and executive members on 15th of November 2016 at BCN Meeting Hall, Lazimpat
Kathmandu. The session was led by Fanny Lai, a former corporate executive,
graphic novelist and Bjorn Olsen award winning
wild life photographer.
The workshop was divided into two segments. The first
included Fanny's presentation on Fundamentals of Marketing and how to create
winning marketing plans. The second was a Q&A session where participants
shared their concerns on Marketing challenges that conservation organizations are
facing in Nepal.
Fanny and Bjorn were in Nepal for a week on a voluntary
assignment of Forest of Hope, one of the birdlife international projects. They visited Bardiya where BCN is currently
involved with different activities to uplift the livelihood of local people and
conservation of birds and biodiversity.
To encourage the work BCN is doing on a local level, both presented a
donation of $500 and their recently published publications.
