BENGAL FLORICAN CONSERVATION PROJECT
Bengal Florican Houbaropsis bengalensis is a habitat specialised bustard, dependent upon alluvial grassland habitat of terai region. It is restricted to two small and disjunct populations, one in the Terai region of India and Nepal, and the other in Cambodia with global population250-999 mature individuals. In Nepal it is restricted only in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, Bardia National Park, Chitwan National Park and Suklphanta Wildlife Reserve.

INTEGRATING LIVELIHOODS AND CONSERVATION: PEOPLE PARTNER WITH NATURE FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVING (2018-2021)
'Integrating Livelihood and Conservation: People Partner with Nature for Sustainability' is an extension of 3 years pilot programme that was implemented in Resunga Forest IBA from 2015-2017. In the second phase, this programme is being implemented in Resunga and Madane Forest area of Gulmi. They both are the protected forests area. Resunga Forest is an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA) where as Madane Forest area has been kept under potential IBA. With the financial support from DANIDA/ CISU, Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN), Nature Kenya, and Nature Uganda, in partnership with Dansk Ornitologisk Forening (DOF) are implementing a 4 years programme in three respective sites of each country.
