Dang district was declared as a Diclofenac Free Zone on 26 November 2010, in a ceremony organised by, Diclofenac Free Zone declaration Committee, Dang on the chairmanship of Uttam Bahadur Thapa (President, DFZ declaration committee, Dang and Chief Officer, DLSO, Dang). Mrs. Shanta Chaudhary, President of Natural Resource committee, Constitution Assembly was the chief guest in the program, Special guest Mr. Rishiram Dhakal (CDO, Dang) and other guests were Mr. Kishor Chandra Gautam (DFO, Dang), Mr. Anand Chaudhary (Vulture Conservation Officer, BCN), Representative from ADO, DDC, representatives of Political parties, and media professionals. Total participants on the programme were 89. The programme was inaugurated by chief guest by signing the commitment to declare the district as DFZ.
