Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN), the BirdLife
International Partner in Nepal, is seeking applications from qualified Nepali
candidates for the position of Field Biologist. BCN’s Vulture Conservation
Program leads efforts in vulture conservation across Nepal in collaboration with
CBOs, NGOs, INGOs and Government line agencies.

Duration : One year with
the possibility of extension on a contract basis
Working
Area: Primarily Central to Western Terai Districts and
based in Butwal, Rupandehi
Main Responsibilities:
The
incumbent will be responsible for carrying out scientific surveys, liaison with
government line agencies, NGOs, CBOs, local communities carrying out awareness,
sensitization and advocacy programs to strengthen Vulture Safe Zones.
Required skills
and education:
Master’s degree in Zoology,
Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or any other relevant
subjects. Ability
to work in rural environment and travel widely. Good command of both English
and Nepali languages and familiar with standard computer software. Good
presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary: As per BCN rule
