Walk For Bird At Godawari
14 Dec 2019

With an objective to raise awareness about the importance of greenery around the Kathmandu valley for the conservation of birds and biodiversity, BCN organized a half a day long nature walk “Walk for Bird” at Godawari on 28 Mangshir, 2076 (14 December, 2019).

Participants gathered in front of Nepal Tourism Board Gate at Exhibition road early morning where three buses were on a standby to take them to Godawari. The hiking began around 9:00 am because of rain early morning. Participants divided in groups then walked through  Jungle of Naudhara Community Forest and took a round enjoying bird watching and breathtaking view of mountains and forest. The 8 km long hike ended at Godawari Buspark, in about 3 and half hours. Participants received a certificate of participation from Rajendra Gurung,  President of BCN's Executive Council Board.

Walk for Bird is BCN’s one of the most exciting awareness and fund raising events in 2019. More than 50 people took part in this event. The event was supported by Siddhartha Bank, Hotel Moonlight, Quest Travels, DishHome Media and Naturetrek.com.
