Awareness program was organized for the farmers of Thakurapur, Rupandehi on 12 February 2014. This program was organized by Jatayau Restaurant management committee, GaindatalRupendehi with the technical and financial support of BCN. The participants were local farmers, Navadura community forest user group members, school teachers and officials from forest office.  Assistant forest officer Mr. MosaphirBhagat, Mr. NandakishorJaisawal president of Navadurga community forest user group, MrBaburamMalla, coordinator of Jatayu restaurant management committee Gaidatal and Mr. Bhupal Nepali, field officer of BCN presented on the importance of vulture, need of vulture safe zone and community roles in vulture conservation. The participants were aware about the declining cause of vultures and illegal diclofenac use in animals should be stopped.
